• The Department of Education, together with the UPV/EHU, the University of Deusto and the University of Mondragon sign a joint declaration in which, among other things, they agree to promote distance (on-line) training, but without ruling out occasional classroom activity
  • The Basque University System (SUV) is fully prepared and trained to guarantee an end to the course in a non-attendance format
  • Both the Basque Government and the Basque universities reiterate that no student will lose the course because of the coronavirus

Yesterday afternoon a new meeting was held between the Minister of Education, Cristina Uriarte, the Rector of the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea Nekane Balluerka, the Rector of the University of Deusto, José María Guibert, and the Rector of the University of Mondragon, Bixente Atxa. The meeting, held by videoconference, gives continuity to the meetings that the university heads and the Councillor -as well as their respective teams and Unibasq- have been holding since the suspension of the face-to-face classes was decreed.
