Emakunde’s Equality Award 2018 was granted to two Master Degrees this year, one to the Máster en Igualdad de Mujeres y Hombres: Agentes de Igualdad (Master in Equality between Men and Women: Equality Agents) from UPV/EHU set up in 2001, and to Máster en Intervención en Violencia contra las Mujeres (Master in intervention in Violence Against Women from Deusto University, started in 2003. The jury highlighted that personnel are currently working on policies for equality that allow for their work to be carried out in a highly qualified frame that gives them the necessary gender perspective for the implementation of their activities. Heads of both masters will receive their awards from the Lehendakari (President of the Basque Government) in April next year.
