Federico Recart Barañano has been appointed as the new director of the Basque University System Quality Agency (Unibasq) at the proposal of the president of Unibasq and Minister for Science, Universities and Innovation, Juan Ignacio Pérez Iglesias. The agreement was approved by the Unibasq Governing Council on 18 November 2025 and the appointment was published in the Official Gazette of the Basque Country (BOPV) on 25 November.
