What is Euskaraldia? From the 23rd of November to the 3rd of December an initiative to boost the use of the Basque Language and cause an impact in the linguistic approach will be implemented. People who speak or understand Basque will use it amongst themselves and others in every village, business, school and interaction throughout the Basque Country, anytime, anywhere.
There will be two roles: Ahobizi – Live-mouth – who will speak solely in Basque during those eleven days to all acquaintances, and will make the first approach to strangers in Basque.
Belarriprest – Ear-ready – are, on the other hand, those who understand and perhaps speak the language to some extent, and will for those eleven days invite those who can to speak to them in Basque.
Unibasq joins the iniciative, and from the 23rd of November to the 3rd of December the Agency will distribute badges with Ahobizi and Belarriprest signs amongst members of the staff.
Workers of Unibasq want to show their compromise with the Basque language by signing up for the initiative.
We invite you to join Euskaraldia!
