Unibasq took part in the REACU 2026 Technical Conference organised by the Spanish Network of University Quality Agencies, hosted by the Canary Islands Agency for University Quality and Educational Evaluation (ACCUEE) in Santa Cruz de Tenerife on 5 and 6 February.

This meeting brought together technical and managerial staff from the various university quality agencies with the aim of exchanging experiences, sharing knowledge and working together to improve quality assurance processes within the university system.

The conference programme provided a comprehensive overview of the main current challenges in university quality assurance, with a particular focus on institutional accreditation, the evaluation of official degree programmes and teaching staff, as well as the regulatory changes resulting from the new Royal Decree 905/2025. Furthermore, the practical implications of these processes were analysed and common approaches and criteria were shared amongst the participating agencies.

In parallel, a meeting of the directors of the REACU agencies took place.
